When I was little, I started baking. It actually came about when I would spend the day with another family, and one of their daughters used to look after me, while my Mom and Dad were at work.
While I was with them, the youngest of their four children and I spent a lot of time together (that little girl in the photo is me). One of our escapades was doing a lot of baking. Now, one of the recipes that we used to make all of the time was Betty Crocker's Snickerdoodle Cookies recipe.
From there, we baked them a lot, but we baked other things too. We cooked also.
Doing this every week with someone I loved to spend time with, my love of baking flourished.
Now, I'm not that little girl anymore and I still love it. If you were wondering if that Betty Crocker's Cooky Book is still around, I can certainly say for sure that it is.
There is a story about how that once lost Cooky Book is now found. But, that's another story for another time, (aka. the next blog post).
Let the story continue.
